The dysfunction.

There may be some dysfunction in your relationship that leads to yelling matches or silent treatment. You want to communicate better with each other but it seems nearly impossible when you get upset and feel like the other isn’t listening or caring. Most of us don’t get taught how to be in a relationship - we just do our best.

 

The building.

You can have healthy and loving relationships. In couples therapy, we’ll talk about how you can build friendship, intimacy, and understanding between you. In therapy, you’ll learn more about each other and find meaning as individuals and as partners.

The process.

We’ll start with Assessment where we gather information about both you & your partner. This is where we identify your strengths as a couple as well as your challenges. Then we go into Interventions. This is where you learn new ways of interacting with each other and practice them in session and at home. Until the new skills become your new ways of being with each other.
